Welcome to Club Clue
Agnes Wright is a journalist just out of college ready to take a break. She'd been planning to take some time off to get her bearings before things get busy again, and hopefully spend some quality time with her boyfriend, world's nerdiest punk (or punkiest nerd?) Nick Edwards. That is, until her old friend Juniper Hawthorne calls her in a panic about a potential kidnapping!
Juniper is a marine biologist who used to go to the same weekly transfem picnic as Agnes, until she moved away to pursue a research opportunity in Alaska. The head of Juniper's lab, Dr. Francois Summerlin, has gone missing under suspicious circumstances, and the police are oddly reluctant to investigate. Has someone been trying to silence Dr. Summerlin's research? What could she have discovered? Juniper's not sure, but she knows the lab isn't safe until the perpetrator is caught.
Agnes will need all her investigative skills to solve this one, but she won't be doing it alone. She's got Nick backing her up with his hacking skills and cryptography knowledge, and she's called in additional support from her arch rival college classmate Shannon Danvers, a PhD. student in forensic toxicology (who is trying really hard not to think about why she agreed to help Agnes). Together, this trio of intrepid sleuths is determined to find Francois and bring her kidnapper to justice. Club Clue is on the case! (edited)
What is this?
Have you ever wondered what if Nancy Drew games were gayer and trans-er and indie-er? This is that game! With unique characters, we hope to craft compelling narratives and gameplay based on issues that are important to us.
This point-and-click mystery demo as made for the Trans Representation Jam 2025. It's an attempt to show what we were able to make in around two months while juggling full time work and other responsibilities. This was made using Godot, EgoVenture, and Dialogic.
Who are we?
